Change of Plans! Our New Mission in Nakanai 🌟
Hello everyone!
How are you? It's been a long time since I last shared a video, so I wanted to give you an update on what has happened over the past 18 months. These have been times full of changes and learning experiences, and I want to share the most important points with you.
First, let me tell you about a significant change of plans in our ministry. As some of you may know, we were working intensively to move to the Southern Mengen tribe, located on the southern coast of our island. There was a lot of excitement and preparation, but in the end, God had other plans for us. We couldn't go to that tribe, and instead, we started working with the Nakanai tribe.
The Nakanai are mostly located on the northeast coast of the island, in the province of New Britain, although a considerable number of them live in the central mountainous area. They are approximately 44,000 people, and since we arrived, we have fully immersed ourselves in the work with them.
Our ministry here has focused on discipling a small group of believers, training teachers, and teaching both adults and children. Our goal is that, over time, these new leaders can take the reins of the local church. Additionally, we have served the community in various ways: from medical assistance and hospital transfers to other practical needs that have arisen.
As if that weren't enough, we have also been building our house. I'll share a video about that soon! But before I forget, I want to thank you all for your prayers and constant support. Thanks to God, we are in our home country for a few months on leave, which will allow us to share more frequently about what has happened and our future plans.
Once again, thank you for being with us on this journey. I send you a big hug. God bless you!
See you soon. Blessings!
